The Engelenburg House Museum, situated next to the Union Buildings, tells the fascinating story of a close confidant of President Paul Kruger who played a significant role in the development of the Afrikaans language, as well as academic and intellectual life in South Africa between 1880 and 1938. The narrative spans early Pretoria through to the period of the Union of South Africa, with the house interior reflecting eight generations and featuring exquisite furniture pieces dating back to the 1600s.

We encourage you to join us for an informative and enriching morning—come to mingle, expand your knowledge, and start the year on a high note.
