10:00 Meet at the SAA Museum Ticket Office / Auditorium for a short Welcome Address followed by the flighting of a video depicting the arrival at Rand Airport of the Boeing 747, ‘Lebombo’ aircraft. Brief Walk-Through of the Museum Display Hall

10:30 Proceed to the Aircraft Park for a Guided Tour of ZS-SAN “Lebombo” the first Boeing 747 aircraft to be delivered to South African Airways 51 years ago, and the pride of the Museum. (Group Photo on the Stairs of the Jumbo Jet) 

11:15 A glimpse into the 1946 Douglas DC-4 aircraft, ZS-AUB, the aircraft type on which SAA introduced Air Hostesses. These aircraft operated the Springbok Service to London and Europe soon after the end of WW II. ZS-AUB also
featured in the Netflix television series, The Crown and only ended her flying career as recently as 2017. Visit the Lockheed L-1649 Star Liner, the last of the Constellation line of airliners. Many will remember the aircraft from her days at Klein Kariba Pleasure Resort.

11:45 Visit the Museum Hangar to learn about the Lockheed Lodestar, the oldest remaining aircraft out of South African Airways’ original fleet, and the De Haviland Dove, before a Question-and-Answer session.
